This year’s worship team was one of the most meaningful highlights of Transformation Camp for the Deaf 2026. From the very first gathering to the final session, worship set the tone for the entire weekend, creating an atmosphere of unity, joy, and deep spiritual reflection.

Albina devoted countless hours to faithfully training and directing the Deaf Choir, guiding them through dozens of praise and worship songs that were performed throughout the camp. Her leadership not only strengthened their musical expression in sign but also built confidence, discipline, and teamwork within the group. What many saw on stage was the result of weeks of preparation, patience, and intentional discipleship.

The pinnacle of the weekend came on Saturday night with a powerful 40-minute concert that moved the entire audience. The choir signed with passion and precision, communicating the truth of the Gospel in a way that transcended sound and spoke directly to the heart. There was a tangible sense of joy and reverence as campers, staff, and guests watched the Word of God proclaimed through sign language.

Many of the songs performed were ones Roy first introduced when he moved to Guatemala years ago. For longtime members of the Deaf community, this created a beautiful sense of nostalgia — a reminder of humble beginnings, early Bible studies, and the first gatherings where Deaf adults were given access to worship in their own language. It became more than a concert; it was a testimony of growth.

As the choir signed those familiar songs, it was impossible not to reflect on how much Roy, our CEO and founder, has poured into the Deaf community throughout Guatemala. From laying foundations for sign language access to developing leaders and creating spaces for worship, his early investment continues to bear fruit. Seeing those songs now performed by a trained Deaf Choir at a thriving camp was a powerful picture of transformation — not only of individuals, but of an entire community.

The worship team did more than perform; they told a story. A story of faithfulness, perseverance, leadership development, and the multiplying impact of years of ministry. It was a sacred moment of looking back with gratitude and looking forward with hope.
