As we reflect on the past month, we are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for the incredible response to our Triple Matching Challenge. Thanksgiving Day of 2023 marked the culmination of this heartfelt initiative. We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your generosity, we now have a total of $2,559.24 to be tripled. This outstanding amount is a beacon of hope that will resonate in the lives of many Deaf individuals. The invaluable gifts of communication, social connection, employment skills, and, most importantly, the love of Jesus will be shared.

Vitally important Deaf gatherings offer teaching and socialization!

Matching Challenge Success!

In this season of giving, your contributions have spoken volumes. The Triple Matching Challenge was not just a fundraising effort. It was a collective expression of compassion, solidarity, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of the Deaf community in the Americas.

Thank you donors!

We extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who opened your hearts and wallets to support Latin Deaf Services Inc. Your commitment to our mission has set the stage for transformative change, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.

A special thank you is also in order for A-Z Seamless Gutters, our esteemed partner in this challenge. Your collaboration has been instrumental in the success of the Triple Matching Challenge. Together, we did not quite meet our goal. However, the ripple effect of this partnership will be felt across numerous projects that were once dreams and are now becoming a reality.

New Office Location!

Moving to a more centrally located Missions Office will increase our reach in Guatemala City (where a large population of Deaf are located). This will allow us to host workshops, classes and socials which was previously impossible due to the distance of our mission from the City.

Our Vision realized!

In addition, we have the amazing opportunity to host a first Bible Institute seminar for Pastoral students in January! What we learn during this crucial first seminar time will give us the information we need  to make our Bible Institute a success! This is vitally important since the DOOR International Bible Institute in Costa Rica closed permanently during CoVid. There are no other options for Bible training for the Deaf in Central America.

Training in Lensegua underway

Next, we are able to continue to train all of our staff in Guatemalan Sign Language (GSL). Our goal is for everyone of the team to be able to communicate with ease to the Deaf in Guatemala.

Deaf Camp is coming soon

Finally, your gifts will enable us to continue to offer camps and conferences for the Deaf; a vital part of language development and socialization! As always our camps have 3 purposes: to share the love of Jesus, build relationships and empower the Deaf.

Traveling to reach pockets of Deaf throughout Guatemala

The funds raised during this challenge pave the way for crucial initiatives. They will empower Deaf individuals to thrive in various aspects of their lives. Your support enables us to provide them with the tools they need. Your gifts foster effective communication, social connections, development of valuable employment skills. But most importantly, the Deaf will experience the boundless love of Jesus.

As we enter the month of December, we look forward to translating your contributions into tangible projects and initiatives. With your gifts, we will make a lasting difference. Your belief in our mission fuels our determination to create a world where the Deaf community not only survives but thrives.

Once again, from the depths of our hearts, thank you. Your generosity has opened doors to possibilities, and we are excited to embark on this journey of transformation together.
